Lilli's Thoughts

This story has nothing to do with our trip, just a little story to remember.
I was reflecting on a conversation we had in our house a few months ago, when Lilli was crazed for us to get a dog. She thought that we really needed a dog, a live, real one. Not just the stuffed ones laying in the toy baskets and shelves. In my mom way I explained that we had a baby, we had Anna and we couldn't get a dog at this time. Mom just couldn't handle another something or someone to take care of! Lilli pondered that briefly and promptly replied "Well, when Anna goes to heaven then can we get a dog?!" Shocked and appalled at first, I quickly recovered and realized, she had no idea the magnitude of that statement. Also, we have talked extensively about heaven in our house and she understands that's where we'll go when we pass, it's not a bad thing, it's natural. Oh my, that Lilli! We love her, she's always giving us an opportunity to chuckle and smile!
